The first series I saw on Apple TV + when it started a year ago was “See,” starring Jason Momoa. And the second was «Servant«. A disturbing series that at times you couldn’t even blink so as not to miss a single frame.
I’m looking forward to the second season, since I was totally “caught” with the end of the first. It left me many doubts that I want to resolve about the plot of the series. I hope and wish they don’t decide to do a third one. I couldn’t bear to wait another year to figure out the whole story.
Apple today shared on YouTube the full trailer for the second season of “Servant”, which will premiere exclusively on Apple TV + next Friday January 15. The first season of the series was a success with Apple TV + subscribers, and the company decided to renew a second installment shortly after its launch, seeing the success achieved.
“Servant” is a suspense thriller produced by M. Night Shyamalan, who has also directed some of the episodes. The series follows a Philadelphia couple who are in mourning after losing their newborn son. Her baby, Jericó, is replaced by a hyper realistic doll.
The mother, upset by the death of her son, thinks that the doll it’s really her baby, alive and well. A strange nanny, Leanne, is hired to take care of the baby. After Leanne arrives, strange things start to happen to the family.
Certainly a story of suspense and intrigue that takes place inside the couple’s mansion, with very marked characters and a very descriptive photograph, especially showing how the baby’s father cooks his exotic recipes.
The show stars Lauren Ambrose, Nell Tiger Free, Rupert Grint, and Toby Kebbell. The full first season of “Servant” is available at Apple TV +. I recommend it if you like suspense and psychological horror movies.
