Patch 9.0.2 brings M1 support
The next addon called “Shadowlands” is imminent, as the release date Blizzard named November 23rd. For owners of an M1-based Mac or those who are planning to buy and want to play World of Warcraft on it, there are others at the same time good news. “Patch 9.0.2” will be released tomorrow – and one of the important innovations is native support for the new hardware architecture. Thus, the popular MMORPG (“Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game”) can be run at full speed on the M1 Macs. After countless benchmarks have already become known, it will be interesting to see how well the title runs on the Macs in question.
The Shadowlands addon
Shadowlands is now the eighth paid add-on in product history. For the first time, Blizzard does not increase the level limit (currently 120), but lowers the maximum level to 60 – which can also be reached relatively quickly. For example, you can reach level 50 within a few hours. This is a groundbreaking step because it changes the way you play more than with the previous expansions. Blizzard says it has shortened the level phase by 70 percent. As with every addon, new zones have to be explored and additional instances / dungeons have to be mastered. The death knight is available to other races, legendary weapons are making their comeback, various class adjustments should make the game more balanced – and there are significantly more options when creating new characters.
