Mac Pro with a different design
The upcoming Apple event will take place on November 10th – and will most likely be dedicated to future Macs with completely new ARM processors. The introduction of the “AirPods Studio” headset headphones and the smart “AirTags” labels is also conceivable – but these will hardly be able to steal the show from the new Macs. It is uncertain whether new desktop computers will be presented in addition to notebooks, but not too likely: the next generation of the iMac (Pro) or Mac Pro will probably still be a while in coming. But now some details about the Mac Pro seep through: The high-end model could get a different design.
More compact – and fewer options?
Bloomberg reports on a Mac Pro that should be noticeably more compact: the future top model should only be half the size of the currently available series. Bloomberg points out not knowing whether the new device will expand the product line or replace the Mac Pro in its current form. Apple’s ARM chips, especially the current A14, are considered to be particularly energy efficient – which should increase the scope for a smaller Mac Pro. However, this decision could lead to limited configuration options compared to the currently available model – after all, the case houses additional storage drives and graphics processors.
