iOS 14.4 – few visible innovations
Not yet confirmed, but very likely: There are some indications that Apple is opening the “Where is?” App for third-party providers. This means that objects stored in this way can be located just as much as lost iPhones – or the expected search labels AirTags. Since Apple has already issued the first license, iOS 14.4 should make the start (see ). It is already known that very little else is happening on the feature front. Apple itself only mentions performance and stability improvements, although developers have found an enhancement, at least in conjunction with the HomePod mini. Apple supplies handoff for the small smart speaker (see ).
macOS 11.2 not yet as RC
While Apple distributed iOS and Co. as an RC version, there is no update for the second beta of macOS 11.2. In the past, however, Apple often delivered the macOS updates for developers a few hours later. MacOS 11.2 also contains only a few visible changes. However, Apple also removed a “feature” – namely firewall exceptions for their own apps (see )
