On December 1 of each year, World AIDS Day is commemorated. And those on the block, like many other companies and organizations, promote various aid and awareness campaigns. Specifically, Apple has been working with (RED) for 14 years and contributes part of its profits to the cause.

Apple announced that 100% of the revenues from devices and accessories (PRODUCT) RED will be contributed to the Global Fund for Response to COVID-19 …

Well, this year – without a doubt – has been marked by the COVID-19 pandemic. And most of the efforts were necessarily redirected to cover its consequences. It is because of that through your site, Apple announced that -until June 30- 100% of the revenues from devices and accessories (PRODUCT) RED will be contributed to the Global COVID-19 Response Fund.

The main function of this global fund is to “guide, help and finance countries to combat COVID-19, mitigate impacts on life-saving HIV, tuberculosis and malaria programs, and prevent fragile health systems from being overwhelmed. “

“Over 14 years, our partnership with (RED) has generated nearly $ 250 million in donations to fund HIV / AIDS treatment programs. Between now and June 30, Apple is working with (RED) to redirect 100 percent of proceeds from (PRODUCT) RED purchases to the “Global Fund’s COVID-19 Response”. This will provide critical support to the health systems most threatened by the outbreak and, in turn, help preserve the life-saving HIV / AIDS programs in sub-Saharan Africa, ”Apple says on its site.

The objective is to “guide, help and finance countries to combat COVID-19, mitigate impacts on HIV, tuberculosis and malaria programs, and prevent fragile health systems from being overwhelmed ”…

What products (RED) does Apple offer? There is everything: iPhone 12, 12 mini, 11, XR, SE; covers for all the phones in the house; Apple Watch Series 6 (and various straps, including “Solo Loop”); ipod touch; and also, Beats Solo3 and Pill. Let us remember here that those from Cupertino had already reinforced their help to this cause last April, but from today until mid-2021 all the effort (RED) will go in this direction.

Can you only collaborate with (RED) by buying from Apple? Nope, the non-profit organization also receives donations through its site: red.org/donate.
