So far hardly any innovations known
So far, the information doesn’t seem to be about major feature updates – at least only a few manageable changes were noticed in the first beta. These mainly affect owners of the HomePod mini, which was launched not so long ago and which now gets along even better with the iPhone. A more detailed description of the functions can be found in this article:. For the other systems, Apple only documents the general stability and performance improvements – detailed release notes are usually only available towards the end of the respective beta phase.
The beta phase is usually pretty similar, which is why you can estimate when the final versions will appear. The release is therefore expected for mid-February. This applies to both iOS 14.4 and macOS 11.2. Internally, however, Apple is already testing the update but one, because macOS 11.3 has also been noticeable in the access statistics since December. According to speculation, 11.3 could be the system on the upcoming M1X Macs. The first traces of macOS 12 can also be found, as we have only recently done exclusively reported.
